Job Title: Coordinator for ADHD and Early-Age Autism Assessment

Role Overview: We are seeking a passionate, experienced, and compassionate Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with children in early years or primary school settings, particularly as a one-to-one support worker, along with a degree in the humanities. A genuine passion for helping children with special needs and an understanding of ADHD and autism are essential.
As a Coordinator in our startup, you will play a critical role in supporting the assessment and integration process for children with ADHD and early-age autism. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, educators, and families to ensure that each child receives personalized support, timely assessments, and the tools needed for their development and inclusion in society.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessment Coordination:
- Work with our internal teams, clinicals and educational teams to coordinate ADHD and autism assessments for children, ensuring smooth communication between families, schools, and medical professionals.
- Support parents and caregivers throughout the assessment process, providing clear instructions and empathetic guidance on next steps.
- Gather relevant data from schools, healthcare providers, and parents to facilitate accurate assessments.
- One-to-One Support:
- Offer assistance in developing individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention strategies for children diagnosed with ADHD or autism.
- Provide guidance to schools, families, and other caregivers on best practices for supporting children with special needs.
- Conduct one-to-one sessions with children to offer educational support, behavioral strategies, and encouragement, ensuring integration and success in both classroom and social settings.
- Family and Educator Support:
- Serve as a liaison between families and educational institutions to ensure that children’s needs are met, and appropriate accommodations are in place.
- Provide training, support, and resources for educators and families to help them better understand and meet the needs of children with ADHD and autism.
- Facilitate workshops and information sessions on special needs support, focusing on ADHD, autism, and inclusive education practices.
- Data Collection and Reporting:
- Assist in the collection and analysis of data related to children’s progress, ensuring that detailed records are maintained and all relevant information is up-to-date.
- Help track and report on the effectiveness of interventions and programs, making recommendations for improvements based on data-driven insights.
- Community Outreach and Advocacy:
- Collaborate with community organizations, schools, and advocacy groups to raise awareness about ADHD and autism, promoting early diagnosis and intervention.
- Participate in outreach activities aimed at breaking down stigmas surrounding ADHD and autism, fostering inclusive environments for all children.
- Qualifications:
- A degree in a Humanities-related field (e.g., Psychology, Education, Human Resources, Sociology, or related disciplines).
- Proven experience working as a one-to-one support worker in early years or primary school settings is a must.
- Understanding of ADHD, autism, and other developmental disorders, with experience in working with children who face learning or social integration challenges.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a deep empathy for families and children.
- Ability to collaborate and team play effectively within a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, educators, and families.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A passion for helping children with special needs integrate into society and achieve their full potential.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a educational environment with understanding of school working environment especially for Special need children.
- Familiarity with early childhood education theories and practices.
- Experience in training or coaching educators on special needs accommodations and inclusive education, will be a plus.
